STMicroelectronics Optimizes Microcontroller Selection with New STM8 and STM32 Mobile Apps

STMicroelectronics is helping developers find the right microcontrollers and microprocessors for their projects more quickly and easily with two state-of-the-art mobile applications released on leading app stores and st.com.

STM8 Finder and STM32 Finder replace the preceding ST MCU Finder mobile app, leveraging the latest app-design technologies for a robust and convenient user experience. New features include powerful search filters that let users refine their descriptions of desired peripherals. The adaptive graphical interface automatically optimizes for smartphone or tablet display as well as screen orientation, and content caching enables offline working. Also new, incremental database management minimizes data consumption and wait time when updating.

The apps provide access to ST’s complete portfolio of STM8 8-bit microcontrollers, STM32 32-bit Arm^® Cortex^®-M microcontrollers, and STM32MP15 Cortex-A7 microprocessors, as well as Evaluation Boards, Discovery Kits, and Nucleo development boards. After finding their desired product, users can search related collateral such as documentation, project files, and software.

The apps also enable convenient ordering of devices and development boards and help users connect with developer communities on social platforms such as Facebook™, Twitter™, STM32 YouTube™ channel, and ST Community.
